Description
- The U8 Honors Program is open to any U8 player currently registered with Clay County Soccer Club. The program was designed
for the player who desires to make a commitment to accelerate their soccer skills. The sessions are designed and conducted
by the CCSC Professional Training Staff to develop individual skills in a fun and challenging environment. The sessions will
have activities and games that help to improve all components of an individual player’s game: technical, tactical, physical
(fitness) and psychology. The last 30 minutes of each session will include small sided games with game conditions to encourage
each player to showcase what they have learned. A major objective is to have the Trainers provide individual technical instruction
and feedback and for each player and to strive for 500+ touches on the ball throughout each session.
Cost: $50 per player for the entire Spring Season.
When: U8
Honors Program Training will be in addition to a player’s regular recreational soccer practice. Sessions will run every
Friday from
5:00-6:30 PM.
Where: Dennis
Violet Soccer complex at Eagle Harbor.
What to bring: Each player is responsible
to being a properly inflated ball, drink (water), and wearing shin-guards.
Topics
covered will include: Passing, shooting/finishing, dribbling feints, shielding, running with the ball, balance, coordination
and increased foot speed. Applicants may be required to bring hard surface shoes to some sessions.
