Morgan Brian is an Olympian
Former Clay County Sol player Morgan Brian will be headed to Brazil next month to represent the USA on the soccer pitch making her the first soccer player from North Florida to become an Olympian. Although she currently resides in Houston Texas where she plays professionally, Brian spent her youth years playing for and training with Clay County Soccer director Luis Torres.
"It's an awesome achievement and a well deserved one for Morgan" said Torres. "I know I'm biased but I really believe she has become one of the best midfielders in the world. She was a major factor in the U.S. winning the 2015 World Cup, was voted best player in the Olympic Qualifiers and is now in a position to help the U.S.A. win a medal at the Olympics. It is a testament to the thousands of hours of hard work that she's put in since she was a little girl, I couldn't be more proud of her, she truly deserves it." We here at Clay County Soccer wish her all the best. Go Morgan! Go USA!
Morgan Brian will once again be bringing her soccer camp to CCSC December 17-19, registration opens up in August at AISAsoccer.com
