Olympic Gold Medalists and US National Team members visit Clay County Soccer!
Olympic gold Medalists and U.S. Women's National Team members (left to right) Yael Averbuch, Whitney Engen, Lori Lindsey, and Jillian Loyden visited the Clay County Soccer club on Thursday afternoon. The Olympic gold medal National team is in Jacksonville to kick off their 2013 season with a match against Scotland this Saturday.
The players were very gracious as they spoke to the 200+ players and parents about their careers, experiences and lives as soccer players. They also signed autographs and took pictures with many of our CCSC players."It was great to have the players here, they are some of the best players in the world and for them to take a couple hours out of their busy schedule was awesome. Their presence and their insight into their journeys in becoming great players was very inspiring to our young players" said CCSC director of coaching Luis Torres.
Many thanks to CCSC coach Jess Hurtado for making the visit possible.
