Super Y Press Release 2
Clay County Soccer Club had a very busy and competitive weekend at the Dennis Viollet Soccer Complex with all three Super Y teams competing.
The U'14 boys played Saturday against Orlando City in a thrilling 2-2 tie. Coach Tomaro's boys conceded early. The Rangers started the second half at a 1-0 deficit, however, Zermeno got his name on the score sheet within the first 5 minutes with a fine strike from just outside the box. Orlando replied soon after notching another goal. Desantis then took matters into his own hands, scoring brilliantly from 20 yards out to even things up.
The U'16 boys also played Saturday against Orlando City in an end to end game. There was plenty of scoring opportunities, however, both teams failed to capitalise and the game ended 0-0.
Coach Cruz's U'15 boys were last to play, kicking off at 2.00 pm on Sunday against Chivas Florida. Nick Konstrubsky stole the show, scoring two goals. The Chivas remained competitive throughout the game and replied to both. The game ended 2-2.
