“Thank You” to our local Boy Scouts
Clay County Soccer Club would like to give a sincere “Thank You” to our local Boy Scouts for their dedication and services provided to our club.
For the past several years, the Boy Scouts have taken on many projects and provided countless hours of service to help better the Clay County Soccer Club. Some of their projects include volunteering each year at our Annual Field Day to help clean up the grounds and help care for our playing areas. Activities from filling sand bags, cutting vegetation and sanitation, these fine gentlemen were working hard in the heat. Last year, they painted the club house and refurbished the picnic benches at our concession stand by replacing the wood, sanding and sealing them for protection.
Their most recent service involved removing 26 damaged and warped boards along the front fence, replacing and painting them. Over the course of the last few years, just about every board on the front fence has been replaced and painted by our local Scouts.
These Boy Scouts are all in the Scouting National Honor Society “Order of the Arrow” from different troops in the Clay County area. The scouts range in age between 12 and 21-years old and are led by Chief Justin Hiller and mentored by Patrick Baird. Mr. Hiller is also a CCSC Referee and Mr. Baird is a long time CCSC volunteer coach.
Chief Justin, Patrick & Scouts – THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
