02 SOL Red Win Charleston Spring Classic

Congratulations to our 02 Sol Red team for winning the Charleston Spring Classic! The team went 3-0 on their way to the final, and then completed their sweep by winning the championship 3-0. While the offense didn't disappoint with 10 goals, Keeper Nevaeh Hester put on a clinic with ESPN-worthy saves and shut out all teams with a clean sheet. Fantastic team effort in bringing home the Championship!

2018 3-v-3 World Soccer Champions Champions

After a long three day climb to the top, 4 teams representing Clay County Soccer Club CCSC made it to the Finals at Worlds Championship 3v3 2018 tournament at ESPN Wide World of Sports in Orlando – Flying Duchesses, Lightning Strikes, Little Venom & Adi-Rolf.

2 teams brought home the Gold as the World Champions!

Congratulations to the Flying Duchesses - CCSC players pictured Thai Q., Aurora A. (from Orlando City), Catalina B., Lily G., Bella P., Leah M. and Coach Ian B.

Flying Duchesses entered the U-14 Girls division winning every game along the way against teams from NY, Alabama, Tennessee & New Jersey (the team who knocked the Flying Duchesses out of the quarter-finals in 2017). After meeting New Jersey in pool play with a 4-2 win, competing against them in the Semi-Finals a 2nd time would be difficult as it's hard to beat the same team twice. The Flying Duchesses came out hard in the semi-finals against New Jersey with a 6-2 victory & meeting up with our current sister team – Lightning Strikes in the Finals with a close victory win 4-3.

The second team to bring home the Gold as World Champions was Adi-Rolf (Florida spelt backwards) in the Adult Division with just 4 players (1 sub) Pictured - Trevor B. (current U-19 CCSC player), Gio A. (former player at CCSC & currently attending Daytona State college), Andy H. (current u19 CCSC player) and Coach Paul T. (current U-19 Coach at CCSC & Ridgeview High School Had Varsity Boys Soccer Coach) hanging in with the young men also winning every game against teams from Texas, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, another home state FL team & fought hard for a close 6-5 win against a team from Pittsburg (Pittsburgh – home of the Steelers – remember the Jaguars win over the Steelers recently?) in the finals.

Siblings – brother & sister – Trevor (Adult Division) & Catalina B. (U-14 Girls Division) came out on top with both their teams reaching 1st place.

Congratulations to the other 2 CCSC teams bringing home the Silver in 2nd place at the Worlds tournament – Lightning Strikes & Little Venom in the U-10 division.

Coaches: Ian Broadbridge (Flying Duchesses) and Paul Tomaro (Adi-Rolf)
