U16 Rangers White win PDA FL Winter Cup and Showcase

Congratulations to Coach Doug and all of the 01 Rangers. They played well all weekend. Their hard work and support of each other was well displayed and rewarded. The strong play was everywhere, especially with the defense and Walker (goalie) earning 3 clean sheets out of 4 games. Game 1 we broke through first with 3 goals, Golden Isles made a comeback attempt in the 2nd half to get within one goal but the boys sealed the victory by putting a 4th in the back of the net to win 4-2. The boys scored early and often in the late game against ACYS Spirit United Elite II, winning a highly physical match 5-0. The rise and shine game Sunday early morning was a tight contest with neither team hitting the back of the net. ACYS won their morning match to set-up what would be a highly contested Final. We enjoyed much of the possession early but were unable to score with the ACYS goalie going full stretch to make a nice save from a beautiful cross and what looked to be a nice finish. As the match wore on ACYS was able to get going a bit testing our defense and goalie. Entering the second half knotted at 0-0 we were able to break through with a nice interchange of passing starting at the fullback position, going through the midfield and crossing into the box, concluding with a blasted finish. The Rangers sealed the victory with a great punt from our Goalie and beautiful run and finish by our striker putting us ahead 2-0 til the final whistle. Great job all weekend by the boys, Coach Doug, Team Mgr Lisa Black for keep everyone organized and on time and thanks to all the parents for their support. Well Played.
